In 2010, the quadrennial FIFA World Cup tournament was held in South Africa. No one is quite sure why. In fact, afterwards no one is quite sure of anything, their brains having been reduced to slush by the endless droning of the Vuvuzelas and Emmanuel Adebayor.
Predictably it was the worst tournament of all time.
