Roy Hodgson (born 9 August 1947) is an English football manager and former player, who is currently in charge of the England national team

Despite an impressive CV including two spells at Inter and successful periods in charge of the Swiss and Finnish national sides, Hodgson is best known for always having a cold.

Whether it be a cold evening in Wigan or a sweltering summer day in Rome, Hodgson is guaranteed to give a nasal press conference and mutter something about his sinuses.

"On his first day I offered the gaffer a tissue, but he just looked at me like I was mad," Northern Ireland international David Healy recalls. "After that I found it very hard to get a game at Fulham and I had to move to Sunderland."

In 2008-09, Hodgson worked wonders and led the Cottagers to seventh - their highest ever Premier League finish. Sadly this came with the side-effect that Fulham were forced to play in the energy sapping, mind-numbing, pointless competition that is the UEFA Cup.
